Excellent facilities for professional training courses are provided, including lecture theatre, lecture and seminar rooms, a new reference and resources library, fieldwork rooms, bar, games room, lounges, T.V. and a range of audio visual equipment. Course tutors may include local and national specialists in addition to staff from the Centre and other departments of the National Park.

The Countryside Council for Wales

Most of the training courses are endorsed and financially supported by the Countryside Council for Wales. C.C.W. is the government's statutory advisor on all countryside, maritime and conservation matters in Wales and is accountable to the National Assembly for Wales. Its objectives are:

  • • to conserve and enhance the quality of the landscape and the richness of its wildlife;
  • • to encourage greater enjoyment and understanding of the countryside.

Cancellation Charges

A £50.00 non-returnable deposit is required unless the booking is accompanied by an official order. In the event of cancellation the following charges will be applied:

  • • Cancellation more than 4 weeks before the course - deposit only.
  • • Cancellation less than 4 weeks before the course - 50% of the full course fees.

Training Fellowship for those Working in Wales
The Countryside Council for Wales is offering a limited number of fellowships for individuals working within Wales. Those wishing to apply should contact Beth Cluer, Professional Training Administrator, at Plas Tan y Bwlch.
