Please click here to access your copy of the draft Snowdonia National Park Recreation Strategy. The strategy has been prepared by the National Park Authority and aims to encourage sustainable recreation use of Snowdonia, whilst protecting and enhancing its special qualities. However, it is a strategy for all those involved in recreation development and management and also takes due regard of the Authority’s socio-economic duty.
The Strategy aims to establish the context for recreation management by respecting Snowdonia’s Special Qualities and ensuring their appropriate management for future generations to enjoy and appreciate. It proposes a series of 9 Aims underpinned by 60 Strategic Actions. These aims and actions can only be delivered in partnership with other organisations and individuals. By doing so, we hope that Snowdonia will continue to be synonymous with a wide breadth of world-class recreation opportunities and promote opportunities to a wider range of people who live and visit the National Park.
This is your opportunity to help us ensure effective management of Snowdonia’s natural and cultural resources by providing us with your feedback.
If you have any comment relating to the draft strategy’s content, we would be grateful of receiving them before Monday, 16th April 2012. All consultation responses received before this date will be reposted to the National Park Authority for consideration; accepted comments will be incorporated into the final version.
