Our two statutory purposes as defined in the Environment Act 1995 are:
• To conserve and enhance the natural beauty, wildlife and cultural heritage; and
• To promote opportunities for the understanding and enjoyment of the special qualities of the Park by the public.
The Act goes on to say that in pursuing these purposes we (the Authority) shall seek to foster the economic and social well being of local communities within the National Park. To fulfill these purposes we work in partnership with local residents, businesses and partner organisations to deliver the best for Snowdonia National Park.
An important part of this process is finding out how we are performing. We are always keen to hear your opinions and ideas – go on have your say!
