Snowdonia National Park Authority is committed to achieving equality of opportunity for people who live in, work in and visit the National Park.
In accordance to the Duty placed on public authorities by the Disability Discrimination Act 2005, the Authority published it’s Disability Equality Scheme in December 2006. The Scheme looked at ways that the Authority would try to reduce the barriers that face disabled people, and how it would promote equal opportunities in its work and policies.
Over the past three year monitoring reports have been published, and now in accordance with statutory requirement the scheme has been revised.
This review would not have been possible without the assistance of disabled people and groups representing disabled people - and the Authority would like to thank them for their time, their expert knowledge and enthusiasm.
