Bro Ni

What makes your area special?

What makes you proud of your area?

During Autumn, 2010, twelve primary schools in the Snowdonia National Park and the surrounding area will be participating in a brand new project called ‘Bro Ni’ (‘Our Area’).

Each school will be discussing with the local warden and choosing a feature of the local landscape, which they feel represents the identity of their area. This feature could be a person, a building, a rock, a valley, a mountain, a ruin, historical or archaeological remains, a path, a field or even a poem or a song.

Having chosen their feature, the schools will work with an artist, poet, author or musician, on a piece of creative work, based on the feature that they choose. By Christmas 2010, we will have a map of the landscape of Snowdonia, and a series of coordinating creative works.

We will be updating this page as the project develops – call back to follow the project’s progress.
