In this section you will learn more about how the Snowdonia National Park functions in relation to the Act and why it is important to understand the aims of the Act. This act is the reason behind the existence of the National Park network in Britain. It has the following aims;

Conserve and enhance the natural beauty, wildlife and cultural heritage.

Promote opportunities for the understanding and enjoyment of the special qualities of National Parks by the public.

Seek to foster the economic and social well being of local communities within the National Park.

This section has been divided into three parts and will provide an introduction to the work carried out within the Snowdonia National Park along with giving you information about the people who live here, annual visitors and why protecting the area is so important.
